The aim of our parish faith formation is reflected in our parish mission statement: "where people are nourished and formed to be the joyful faces of Christ to others". We do this by enabling adults to share their faith confidently and freely. We also strive to equip parents to fulfill the promise made at baptism to raise their child in the faith.
As you view the various programs available this year, please note that the parish options can be taught in-person or at-home.

Teens will join with adults in the Social Hall for formation. They will hear the same content as the adults but will be guided
In their own discussions led by our Youth Minister. (see adult formation for more information on topics). Other resources for teens are The Catholic Faith Handbook for Youth published by St. Mary's Press and The Catholic Youth Bible Revised New American Bible from St. Mary's Press.
Adults may choose from the following:
Option 1: Four Sundays devoted to Gifts and Charisms discernment as understood by parishioners trained through the Catherine of Siena Institute. This will be followed by six Sundays on an examination of The Vatican II documents with the help of Deacon Harry Moore. The next study will take place during Advent and beyond on the various major and minor prophets of our faith.
Option 2: How do I share the Catholic faith with my children? Parents are invited to gather in the Shields Center to engage in conversation focused on answering their children’s toughest questions in an honest, respectful and accurate way. We will use a book by Julianne Stanz, (author, catechist, lay church leader, and mother of three). Her book is a practical manual for talking with children about what really matters and will equip parents “with tools to help explain Catholic beliefs, ethics, morality, and faith practices”. The book study will be facilitated by Joanne Rousculp, Director of Faith Formation.
